Field Trips

Let us take you on an educational journey at The Sawdust Factory!

We begin each field trip with interesting information about trees and the process trees go through at a mill to become the wood we use for woodcraft projects.  We introduce the children to various types of wood and wood tools, explaining the functions of each one, demonstrating the scroll saw and drill press.  Each child will then receive a pre-selected (done at time of booking) woodcraft project to complete.  Prices range from $8.00 to $16.00 per participant. Prices are based on groups of 20 or more.  Please call for pricing for smaller groups.  Price includes everything needed to complete a project that they will get to take home with them the same day!  All projects can be designed to suit a specific theme or holiday.  Booking a field trip with us takes just a few moments.  Simply choose a date, time and project and we will send you a form to sign and return.

A $50.00 deposit is required at time of booking.

This is a great outing for schools, churches, scouts, mommy and me's
and any other groups that like to have fun while learning.

Each child will paint their project then go to our speckling station to add speckles and sponging, then on to the drying station to dry their project completely. Finally they're off to the assembling station where they can choose buttons, bows, wiggle eyes and any other details they would like to add to their project, to make it a masterpiece of their very own.

These keepsake projects are treasures that can be cherished forever. Most projects can be hanging or on a 15" stick. Handprints must be submitted at least 3 days prior to your event. Prices based on hands 6" or smaller and same childs hand. Other guidelines apply.
